disney's back...sort of

well i got an email from our band director yesterday telling us that our trip to disney world in orlando was not entirely cancelled. good? sort of.

he gave us three dates to vote on. yea, that seemed like a fair solution. Right? NO.

March 12-16, March 26-30, and April 9-13.
do these dates seem familiar?

well they might, if you're planning on taking the SAT or ACT this spring. yes, our band director gave us the weekend when the act and sat are being offered. luckily, i hadn't registered for the act yet, so i can take that in june. but i had already registered for the sat, which is march 13. The middle date is part of our spring break, which many people have already blocked off for family vacations or the great starvation (passover) so here comes the question. is this fair?

--my answer. Sort of. the seniors who are graduating this year deserve a good trip as part of their band experience. if a junior has to miss the trip because of the sat or act, well i guess that's life. i care more about allowing the seniors to get their trip and us having an even better one next year than finding some horrible weekend to drive down to disney and play.

but...i voted and it has been counted. that's all that really matters. coaxing a plurality of people to one date.

i don't know if anyone reads this, i'm cool with whoever reads it. but..i would like your opinion.
next year i'll be a senior, which means college applications, recommendations, yada yada yada. you get my drift.
i have to turn in my registration card, and well i'm not sure if i am loading myself too much.

no more disney

sadly, my school trip for band to disney world has been cancelled.

WHHHY?

i was so looking forward to this!! i hate mcps right now. i used to like them for shutting down school for this week, but i take that back. they are nothing much bureaucratic slugs who can't make up their god damn minds.

ok guys. last night's chuck is brewing and has brewed tons of drama.

so basically in short the two big romance characters who are in love or were in love with eachother are now with other people. not that big of a deal

---except that so many fans are 100%+ emotionally invested in seeing chuck (the guy) and sarah (the girl) get together as fast as possible.

my opinion. I don't like seeing chuck and sarah with other people in a romantic sense, but it was bound to happen. chuck really, REALLY hurt sarah in prague (episode 3.01) and now he is paying the price. he chose to be a spy over a life with her (kinda, see episode 3.02 final scene).

so what you have going on is a bunch of crazy fans pissing themselves since the show isn't going their way. i admit i was angry at the onset of this episode but once i realized what was going on and how it may or may not play out i was ok with it. other people were not.

so...the two showrunners of chuck had a phone interview with alan sepiwall and tried to clear the air....which wasn't good enough for some. it appeased me.

see i know that they get together eventually--and i'm ok with that. i like seeing the ups, downs, swirls, lefts, rights, and whatever's in a relationship.

take the office for instance, pam and jim got together [eventually]. even though their relationship isn't remotely similar to chuck and sarah's, people stuck it out for the entire ride.

chris fedak compared the relationship to a book. you don't skip to the ending of a book if the middle isn't going your way. exactly, that is CRAZY.

feb. 9th was a crazy day in the chuck-verse and it will only get nuttier. but by the time may 24th rollz along, everyone will be watching for the finale and the big thing that josh schwartz and chris fedak have planned.

wow, we got 30+ inches of snow this weekend and apparently there is more to come!

Chuck

so as you might already know, i am a huge chuck fan. every monday for the past 6 weeks, chuck has been showing up on america's television.

but who really is chuck bartowski?
he is just a regular guy. a regular guy put into extreme circumstances. and that's all i'm going to say about chuck....

and just that IT'S THE MOST AWESOME SHOW EVER!

ok...now that my rant is through

so we are registering for next year's courses these next few weeks in school. they are offering a new program called NJROTC- naval junior reserve officer training corps. i would have to take a bus to a different high school but....i'm thinking about doing it.


also, i would probably take a.p. physics, english, band, and either ab or bc calculus.

It's Snowing!

The weather people said it was not going to snow much, but they are wrong! So far, there is about 1 inch give or take some on the ground. This afternoon I am supposed to be going to a POM's competition for drumline. I didn't want to go in the beginnning, and now I might not have to! Yay :)
